Welcome to Mrs. Kelley's web page.  I teach College Prep and Honors Chemistry at Wren High School.  Chemistry is a course different from any other that most students have ever taken, with emphasis placed on lab work, team work, problem solving, application of concepts, and thinking skills.   It is an application of processes previously learned as well as mastery of new processes.  Chemistry is an abstract, problem-solving course.

My educational background is a little unusual.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University in Food Science and Technology, and worked in the food industry for thirteen years before returning to school at Converse College.  There I earned my Master of Education, with emphasis in Secondary Science and initial teaching certification.  I am certified to teach Biology, AP Chemistry and Chemistry for the Technologies (Chem Tech), and have taught all levels of biology and chemistry.  My classroom experience has been, predominantly, chemistry.
