    Welcome to our  website!

My name is Miranda Cubitt, and I will be your child's teacher this year. I am happy to announce that Debra Kelley will be joining our classroom as my assistant. Mrs. Kelley brings with her over 20 years of teaching experience. I know that she will be an asset to our classroom!

I graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a B.S. in Childhood Education and continued on to receive certification in Early Childhood Education. In December of 2012, I graduated from St. John Fisher College with my Master’s Degree in Special Education. That same month I moved with my husband from Rochester, New York to Greenville, South Carolina. In 2013 I began my teaching career as a long term substitute in the LD self-contained classroom at Wren Middle School. After that, I joined the staff at Hunt Meadows and taught special education pre-school for 5 years. Although I loved working with the younger children, I was ready for a new challenge and, last year, I accepted the teaching position in the LD self-contained classroom. I absolutely loved my first year in the new role and am very excited to begin my second year!

My husband and I have a 4-year-old daughter, Emerson, and a 1 ½ year old son, Bennett, who are the lights of our lives! They are both growing so much every day and keep us on our toes. We have had a busy, but amazing summer break. A recent trip to Folly Beach was probably the highlight of our summer!  I am fortunate that my children enjoy the beach as much as I do!

In my free time (which is almost non-existent with two little ones J ) I enjoy reading, cooking, making crafts for my home, and spending time with family and friends.

I believe in open communication, so please feel free to email me, send a message via Seasaw, call me at school, or send a note if you have any questions.
