Welcome to speech therapy! I have been a speech-language pathologist (SLP) for Palmetto Elementary and Palmetto Middle Schools since 2013. I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. After undergrad, I enrolled in the full time on-campus speech pathology program at USC and graduated with my Master of Speech Pathology degree in August of 2013. As you can assume, I am a faithful Carolina Gamecocks fan and love football, tailgating, and all things garnet and black. Over the course of my graduate program at USC, I completed various clinical rotations including: Richland School District Two, Palmetto-Richland Hospital’s pediatric rehabilitative center, USC Speech and Hearing Center, Mary-Black Hospital in Spartanburg, SC, GHS’ Peace Center for Brain Injury Rehabilitation, and Greenville Memorial Hospital’s acute care. During the 2013-2014 school year, I completed a nine-month clinical fellowship with Anderson School District One to earn my certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech/Language Hearing Association. I also possess a state license in speech/language pathology from the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. I am very passionate about the field of speech/language pathology and know that communication plays a vital role in your child's overall development. I look forward to doing all that I can to serve your child and meeting his or her needs to help them become an effective communicator. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns and know that parent involvement is always welcome and highly encouraged. Looking forward to meeting you in person!
