• Mr. Jonathon K. Long

    Mr. Long is new to Anderson School District 1. He spent the last 3 years as a teacher in Greenville County. Mr. Long was born in Lancaster, SC, and raised in Rock Hill, SC. He graduated from South Pointe High School in 2011. He has been performing, directing, or teaching theatre for over 15 years. In 2015 he recieved his degree from Winthrop University in Theatre Education. In his time at Winthrop he was a member of CERRA's SC Teaching Fellows and a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, where he was in charge of raising money and awareness for the 501(c)(3) non-profit charity The Ability Experience (performing philanthropy work for those with disabilities).

    He currently resides in Simpsonville, South Carolina with his wife Dorie and dog Zoe. He enjoys Steeler football, Florida State University Sports, and watching film and television. He is also a fan of almost all music, but really enjoys rap, r&b, and indie bands. His favorites musicians are Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, and Gardeners. He is heavily inspired by his high school theatre teacher, Jimmy Chrismon.
