• I am so excited to become a Mustang this year!  After 20 years in Greenville County Schools and four before that in West Jefferson, Ohio, and then Spartanburg District 7, I decided to return to a smaller district and school.  Mr. McCauley was my Freshman Academy administrator at Woodmont High, so I already know I'm going to love this place! His positivity is certainly contagious.

My own educational background is eclectic:  I grew up in Dover, Delaware, but fortunately ended up down here at Clemson University, where I earned my B.A. in Secondary Education/English.  My M.A. (with the same focus as my B.A.) was earned at Ohio State many years ago, while I substitute taught in the Columbus City Schools.  This makes me a Tiger and a Buckeye, but my heart is truly orange 99% of the time.  I only own two Buckeye shirts but usually only wear them around the house :).

My husband and I raised three children in Simpsonville. Our daughters are grown and married, and our son is currently studying Biology at Clemson.  We were blessed with our first grandchild this April; he has been a joy and has made our world much sweeter.  Our two dogs are the best fixtures in our newly empty nest; they're good company, never sassy or grumpy.

Please don't hesitate to contact me directly with any concerns.  Email is best, but if you need to chat, send a note in with your child or leave me a message, and I will call you during my planning period or after school.
