Welcome to Fourth Grade!

Welcome to Miss Simmons' 4th grade class. My name is Mackenzie Simmons, and I am so excited to begin my teaching journey here at Wren Elementary! This will be my second year teaching, and my second year here at Wren.  Teaching has always been my dream and I am so blessed and honored to get to be a part of the Wren family!

I am orginally from this area; I graduated from Wren High School in 2016, so I am a Hurricane at heart. I graduated from Anderson University in May of 2020 with my BS in Elementary Education and an add-on Early Childhood Education. I am certified to teach grades K-6.

I am a dog mom to the sweetest 3 year old chocolate lab, Maverick. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I am a shopaholic when it comes to Target and Marshalls; I could live in those places! I am a lover of all things animal, coffee, and chocolate. During the summer I love going to the beach and relaxing in the sand and swimming in the ocean. I also love going to the mountains in the winter, to see all the Christmas lights in Gatlinburg.
