Welcome Parents

Hello! I am Kelly Childers, and I am excited to teach K4 this school year. I currently live in Anderson and have three beautiful children and a sweet grandbaby named Brooklyn. I attended SWU in Central, SC for both my undergrad and graduate degree. I have taught for 25+ years with 13 years in pre-k, 8 years in 1st  grade, 3 years in 2nd grade, 2 years in special education, 2 years as a literacy coach and I even spent a year at the State Department of Education in the Office of Early Learning and Literacy.

I am pleased to welcome you to the 2021 – 2022 school year! I am looking forward to a great year. Pre-K is such a fun year with so many wonderful learning activities to celebrate. In order to have a fun year, my most important goal is to create a family of learners in my classroom. I am committed to creating a classroom environment where your child is a valued, trusted, and an integral part of our family of learners. In order to accomplish this, I have planned a variety of activities to emphasize and reinforce this goal. It is my hope that you will support and encourage this vision at home. You will, undoubtedly, see tremendous growth this year. Being a four year old is such an amazing time.
