       We are off to another exciting school year in Art class! This is my fourteenth year teaching art at Powdersville Elementary School, and I am so proud to be part of such an amazing faculty and school community. I graduated from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC with a BA in Art Education in 2006. I completed my M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Converse in 2011. I taught Art for two years in Spartanburg District Two before coming to this district.
       I am married to my wonderful husband, Matthew, and we have an 8 year old daughter, Mattie, and 5 year old twins, Evie and Olin! They are so much fun, and I love being a mom! We also have a Malshi dog named Ellie, 2 fish and a rabbit!

     

       I am looking forward to another great year with all of my little artists! I want to share my passion for Art with the students and allow them to develop their artistic skills in a creative environment. My goal is to introduce all students to a wide variety of art media, develop their knowledge of art history, and foster a general appreciation for art in their individual lives. Throughout the year students will be creating many masterpieces in mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, printmaking, etc. I truly appreciate your support of me and of our young artists!
