• Welcome to the 2022 -2023 school year!  I am excited about this new school year and
    all the possibilities that a new school year brings.
    We may face some challenges, but we can work through them together. 
     
     My husband, three children, and I have lived in the Powdersville community for over twenty years.
     I began teaching third grade in Anderson One at Concrete Primary.
     When Powdersville Elementary opened in 2002, I moved from Concrete Primary to
     teach fifth grade at Powdersville .
     I have thirty- one years of teaching experience, and I love teaching fifth grade!
     
    My goal is for every student to achieve their very best this year. My goal is also  for my students
    to enjoy learning.
    We will read for pleasure and to gain new information. We will work on connecting what we read and
    writing about it. 
    We will have fun learning new Science concepts in class and in labs.
    In Math, we will learn to apply math skills in problem solving and in real life math problems.
    The history of our great United States from the 1800s through modern times will be our focus in Social Studies.
