    I am very excited about teaching your child and am looking forward to the great things all of my students will be accomplishing this school term.  Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to teach your child.

    About Mrs. Mills:
    I  am married and have five children and three grandchildren.
    I enjoy sports, especially those my kids participate in, and Clemson football and baseball. 
    My hobbies include:  collecting bells, swimming, walking, eating sushi, and having fun with my family and friends.
    Teaching Experience:
    During the summer months before I began my teaching career, I worked as a Supervised Living Instructor for mentally disabled individuals aged 17 - 48 at Burton Center in Greenwood, S.C.
    I have taught at the middle school level for 30 years, and have taught every subject but math. 
    I taught 6th grade at Wren Middle School, and I have taught 7th and 8th grades at Powdersville Middle. 
    This year I will be teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
    Educational Background
    1983 graduate of Ware Shoals High School
    1987 graduate of Lander University (Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education)
    1991 graduate of Clemson University (Masters in Elementary Administration and Supervision)
    I also have 30 hours above my Masters in Guidance Counseling.
    Other things to know about me:
    I take my job very seriously and KNOW that I am blessed to be in one of the BEST professions in the world.
    I educate ALL of my students in love, firmly, fairly, and consistently.
    I was honored to be a member of the  2 A All Conference Volleyball team my senior year in high school, and volleyball is my favorite sport.
    I come from a family of educators.  
    My father was the principal of Ware Shoals and Palmetto High Schools, a middle and high school educator and coach at Palmetto Middle and High, and had over 30 years of experience in education prior to his retirement. My middle sister is the Director of RD Anderson Applied Technology Center which services over 2000 students from Dorman, Woodruff, and Byrnes High Schools. She was selected South Carolina's 2015 Career and Technology Administrator of the Year by SCASA.  My oldest sister teaches English at BHP High School, and my mother-in-law has worked as a secretary at Southside High School in Greenville County for many years.
    I LOVE teaching using power points, videos, interactive games, in-class projects, group interaction, technology, and any other innovative strategies I can get my hands on to help foster learning.
    We have fun learning and respect and responsibility are utmost so that learning can take place daily.
