The Jr. Beta Club is a national organization that recognizes student achievement. Students with an 85+ average in all classes (including related arts) for both Q1 and Q2 and without suspensions or behavioral issues can become a member of a local club. The Jr. Beta Club stresses service to others. Through service to others, members develop leadership skills. Our goal at Powdersville Middle School is to help create good citizens and build leadership skills through our service to others.
Being a part of the Jr. Beta Club is an honor and a commitment. Members are expected to maintain the high average, attend meetings and participate in Beta projects and school-wide projects.
Qualifying after Q3 and/or Q4 of a given year is not an option. Students who show improvement in their academics toward the end of a given school year should continue that trend into the next school year and receive an invitation then. We are proud of the high standards of Jr. Beta Club at Powdersville Middle and our five-year consecutive streak of being named a National Beta School of Merit.
