Palmetto High School
WELCOME BACK 2018-19 students and families!!My name is Jessica Ross, and I teach Essentials of Math, Essentials of Science, and Employability Essentials. Beth Watkins is our classroom assistant.
I graduated from Anderson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with an additional Special Education certification in Learning Disabilities. This year (2018-19) is my 4th year teaching at Palmetto High. I have worked in the public school system for 14 years. I began teaching preschool in 2004 with the Family Literacy program and working in transportation for Ware Shoals District 51. My husband, three children, and I moved to Pendleton in 2007, and I worked in Anderson School District 4 transportation. I began working here at PMHS in 2015 and Two of my three children are also high school students--so, parents, believe me, I can relate! I am extremely grateful for the great opportunity to be a part of Anderson School DIstrict One and work here at Palmetto High with some of the most extraordinary students, teachers, and staff.
Thank you for visiting my class page, and I hope you'll stop by our classroom and see what our students are working on in math and science!
Students, I am sincerely honored to be one of your high school teachers, and I will work hard to make this year your BEST year yet! I am looking forward to learning about how YOU, as a student, learn best.
Parents, I believe communication is critical, so PLEASE do not hesitate to call, e-mail or stop by--I will do my very best to answer all of your questions.
