Anderson One Teams Playoff Bound

The regular season for high school football ended last Friday, but the season will continue for all three Anderson One High Schools. Powdersville High School finished the season with a perfect 10-0 record and are the Region 2 AAA Conference Champions. Powdersville High School will be a #1 seed and will host Broome High School in the first round of the playoffs. Powdersvile defeated Broome by a score of 46-28 in their opening game this season.

Despite an 0-3 start, Wren High School rallied to a 5-5 record and finished as the #2 seed in Region 1 AAA. Wren will host Fairfield Central in the first round. Wren defeated Fairfield Central in the first round of the playoffs last year in a close road win, 28-26. 

Palmetto High School came into the season as the defending champs of Region 2 AAA. With an overall record of 3-6, Palmetto finished as the #3 seed in the region with wins over Blue Ridge and Carolina Academy. Palmetto will travel to Clinton for their first-round matchup.

All games are Friday, November 5th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available for online purchase. Visit the host school’s athletic website for more information. Note: South Carolina High School League passes are the only passes accepted for playoff games.
