Community Eligibility Program Statement

Effective with the start of the 2018-2019 school year, the pilot program to use the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) for Anderson School District One will be discontinued. Upon further evaluation, it was determined that CEP would no longer be financially viable moving forward.

The district will be resuming the use of free-and-reduced household eligibility applications at all schools as meals will no longer be served at no cost to all students. Free-and-reduced household eligibility applications will be included in all back-to-school packets. In addition, a new online application process will be available starting July 1, 2018. The online application is easy, convenient, and can even be completed from a smartphone. Visit www.lunchapplication.com for details.

For all students currently enrolled in one of the 5 schools affected (Palmetto ES, Palmetto MS, W Pelzer ES, Cedar Grove ES and Spearman ES) a carryover policy will be in place allowing students to get a reimbursable meal for breakfast and lunch at no cost for the first 30 days or until a new eligibility decision is made (whichever comes first).  This will also apply to incoming High School freshman who attended Palmetto Middle School in 2017-2018.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the district’s Student Nutrition Services office at (864)847-7344.
