We are excited to share our School Improvement Council (SIC) Report to Families for the 25-26 school year. This report provides a snapshot of our school’s progress, achievements, and goals, including academic performance, programs, and areas of focus for continued growth. It is a great way to stay informed about how we are working together to support every student at WPES. Our STEAM Day was a huge success! Students had an amazing time exploring science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through hands-on activities and engaging presentations.

A big THANK YOU to the incredible organizations and companies who helped make this day so special for our students, including Bright Star Theatre, Clemson INFORMS, Duke Energy – Nuclear Engineering, iMagine Mobile Lab, Foothills Animal Hospital, 4H, ACTC, SC Farm Bureau (Ag Combine Simulator), Bosch, NCEES, Prisma Health, ReWa, BorgWarner, Clemson BeakerBox, PHS FFA, Anderson Soil & Water Conservation, Clemson Extension Water Resources, Anderson County Library, PBS SCETV, and Take Action.

We are also so grateful for the Duke Energy Science Night Grant that helped make this experience possible.

What an unforgettable day at WPES! Our school was honored to be part of the History Rocks Tour, celebrating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States. During this incredible event, we also shared the exciting news that WPES is officially a Leader in Me Lighthouse School, a milestone moment for our students and staff. Making the celebration even more special, we announced this achievement during the ceremony attended by U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon and South Carolina Superintendent of Education Ellen Weaver. What a powerful and meaningful way to celebrate leadership, history, and the amazing work happening at WPES!
