🎨 Last week at Concrete Primary, students had the amazing opportunity to work with local artist Dale Stone during art class! Our second graders created a beautiful cityscape painting that will be on permanent display at our school, while kindergarten and first graders explored fun drawing formulas.

Our kindergarten students have been learning all about informational writing, and what better topic to explore than animals? Kindergarten classrooms researched and wrote about different animals. To celebrate their hard work and learning, they put on a zoo parade for the school—complete with creative costumes ! We’re so proud of our young writers and all they’ve accomplished!

Purple up! Join us in recognizing our military-connected children this April during the Month of the Military Child. The life of a military kid is a blend of unique adventures and challenges. Its important to keep in mind that they serve our country too, as part of a military family… not just in April, but all year long. We will celebrate our Military connected students on April 23rd with a Purple Up day. We encourage everyone to wear purple on April 23rd to support our Military connected families. Purple references the joint environment of the military, encompassing all services branches, Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, and Veterans. Purple combines each branch’s colors into one: the Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard all use shades of blue, the Army uses green, and the Marines use red. Please join us in celebrating our military connected students.
