The last week of March, PVHS Student Council sponsored its annual Spirit Week, which seeks to bring together the student body to raise money (and have fun!) for a good cause. This year's chosen charity was Mamre Missions, an organization that serves those locally in need by providing access to fresh produce, meats, and non-perishable food items through a Mobile Food Pantry. Every student, teacher, and staff member who attended a Spirit Week buyout, bought food, played Powderpuff, ran in the Color Run, pied a teacher, broke an egg over a Senior’s head, attended an after school Spirit event, or made a direct donation has changed the life of individuals in our community, including their own classmates. This donation will enable Mamre Missions to keep delivering food to homes in ASD1 throughout the summer, so others don’t go hungry when they no longer have access to school breakfast or lunch. Patriots, thank you for your generosity - amounts like this don’t happen without caring hearts.
