Anderson One Families,

Out of an abundance of caution, Anderson School District One will operate on a 2-hour delay Tuesday, February 3 due to lingering ice on some secondary roads.

This decision was made after carefully assessing the roads throughout our community and consulting with Anderson County Emergency Management. A two-hour delay will improve visibility and provide safer conditions for drivers and buses to travel once the sun comes up.

Buses will pick students up two hours later than usual and will not travel on icy roads. Our Transportation Department will directly notify all families impacted by route changes.

Additional schedule information:

School will start two hours later than the regular schedule.
4K students enrolled in the half-day morning program will not report to school. Afternoon 4K will operate on a normal schedule.
Important note: AM Career Center students will report to the Career Center for morning classes. The tardy bell will ring at 10:30 a.m. PM Career Center students will operate on a normal schedule.

The Anderson School District One Board of Trustees meeting will take place as scheduled on Tuesday, February 3 at 6 p.m. at the District Office. If you can not attend in person, the board meeting will be livestreamed on the Anderson District One YouTube page starting at 6 p.m.

Student and staff safety remains our top priority. We encourage families to allow for extra time and use extra caution during their morning commute.
