Last week we had a special visit from Duke Energy and Bright Star Touring Theatre! 🎭⚡ Our students enjoyed funny, engaging sketches that taught practical energy-saving tips — and now families can keep the learning going at home!

Parents, scan the QR code to claim a FREE Home Energy Efficiency Kit and turn classroom lessons into real changes around the house. 🏡💡Also, check out the pictures to see the fun and learning that took place!

Special shoutout to our STEM teacher, Mrs. Owings for setting this up!

Spearman Elementary has earned an “Excellent” rating on the SC School Report Card!

We’re incredibly grateful for our amazing teachers and staff whose dedication and care make Spearman such an exceptional place for children to learn. 💙. Of course we are so proud of our students. Did you hear? Our 1st and 5th graders had an unforgettable field trip to Clemson Women’s Basketball Education Day! 🏀✨ During halftime they took part in the “Are You Smarter Than a Clemson College Student?” STEM Halftime Show — a fast-paced science trivia contest where K–6 volunteers competed against Clemson undergraduate science majors. All questions were developed by the Clemson University Science Outreach Center and aligned to South Carolina K–6 science standards, so this was real classroom learning in action. Between rounds, Clemson students shared what they’re studying and their career goals, giving our students inspiring STEM role models.

📚Real Men Read! 📚

Today, we witnessed the powerful impact of mentorship and community engagement as men from our community took the time to read to K4-5th graders. This initiative not only promotes literacy but also fosters meaningful connections between generations. Thank you to everyone who came out to be apart of this special day! Thank you Mrs. Griggs, our reading coach, for all your hard work to make this event happen!
