Williamston, S.C. - The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) recently released the 2024-25 School Report Cards, highlighting academic growth and achievement in Anderson School District One schools.
According to the data, all eligible schools in Anderson One meet or exceed the criteria to ensure all students meet the profile of the South Carolina graduate.
6 ASD1 schools received an Excellent rating (substantially exceeds criteria)
5 ASD1 schools received a Good rating (exceeds criteria)
2 ASD1 schools received an Average rating (meets criteria)
0 ASD1 schools received a Below Average rating
0 ASD1 schools received an Unsatisfactory rating
Each fall, the SCDE publishes school report cards to provide insight into how students and schools are performing across the state. These report cards evaluate several key areas, known as indicators, including academic achievement, school climate, student safety, graduation rate, college and career readiness, and more.
According to the 2024-25 overall report card ratings, nearly 85% of Anderson One schools received an overall report card rating of Excellent (substantially exceeds criteria) or Good (exceeds criteria).
“We are extremely proud of the performance of our schools on the South Carolina School Report Card,” said Superintendent Dr. Seth Young. “This is another example of the positive things happening in our classrooms throughout Anderson School District One. Our teachers work tirelessly to ensure all students have the opportunity to learn at high levels. While we are proud of the results on this year’s school report cards, we continue to work hard and believe the best is yet to come for the students in our district!”
Eight Anderson One schools also received a Palmetto Gold or Silver designation for their performance and achievement in the classroom.
These designations are based on two indicators for Elementary and Middle Schools: Academic Achievement and Student Progress. High School is based on four indicators: Academic Achievement, Preparing for Success, Graduation Rate, and College and Career Readiness.
“While we are always focused on continued growth and improvement to support our students, we are proud of these report card ratings as they serve as evidence that our incredible teachers and school leaders are doing the right work and representing our district well,” said Chief Academic Officer Brad Moore.
The table below highlights the overall report card rating by school, and the schools that received a Palmetto Silver or Gold designation.
