Greenville– Anderson School District One teacher Genevieve Lundgren has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Palmetto State Teachers Association Classroom Grant. This is the fifth year of the PSTA Classroom Grants created as part of the Reinvesting in Our Members Program. The grants are awarded annually to encourage and support PSTA members as they serve students across our state.
Ms. Lundgren is a high school theatre teacher at Powdersville High School. The grant will fund her theatrical design unit in her Advanced Theatre courses. According to Ms. Lundgren, “I want to supply my students with ample supplies for multiple areas of theatre design such as prop making, set design and construction, costume design and creation, and more. Many of the requested classroom supplies are sustainable and reusable; therefore, the majority of these supplies will last for many years to come. This work will help students build skills in analysis, inquiry, theatre design and construction, proposal presentation, and creativity.”
PSTA Director of Teacher Leadership, Craig King, surprised Ms. Lundgren at her school on August 10, 2026 with the exciting news that her grant was chosen as a winner!
