Anderson School District One along with the other school districts in Anderson County will be closed on Tuesday, October 1, and Wednesday, October 2. Due to the damage from Hurricane Helene, many of our schools and a large portion of our community do not have electricity, and we have several roads that remain closed throughout the district.

Updated Details about eLearning:
As a reminder, days that are classified as eLearning are separate from inclement weather days. eLearning Days are not required to be made up at the end of the school year. Anderson One knows that the vast majority of our students and teachers are without power and internet access. As such, ample time will be given to complete all assignments for eLearning Days. Please understand we have identified Monday, September 30 as an eLearning Day to allow for flexibility in making up the missed day of school.
Due to power outages and damages, Anderson School District One will have an eLearning Day on Monday, September 30. If you do not have access to power or internet, do not worry. Students have 5 days to complete eLearning work. Stay safe, everyone!

Due to the anticipated weather impact from Hurricane Helene, Anderson School District One will have an eLearning Day on Friday, September 27.

Anderson School District One is continuing to monitor the weather forecast for Thursday evening and Friday morning. We are in communication with Anderson County Emergency Management and The National Weather Service. We are also in communication with the other districts in Anderson County, and as we gather more information, we will make an announcement regarding any changes to the schedule this week.

Today we celebrate National IT Professionals Day by showing our appreciation for those who have dedicated their lives to Information Technology! This special day was created over 20 years ago to honor the hardworking men and women who work tirelessly to keep our systems running. It is a great opportunity to recognize the tremendous contributions these professionals make every day. IT professionals are essential for keeping our district running smoothly, from developing new software solutions to maintaining hardware systems, to troubleshooting complex network issues. Let us take this day to show our appreciation for their work!

Constitution Day, is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is normally observed on September 17, the day in 1787 that delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia.
