Anderson School District One is continuing to monitor the weather forecast for Thursday evening and Friday morning. We are in communication with Anderson County Emergency Management and The National Weather Service. We are also in communication with the other districts in Anderson County, and as we gather more information, we will make an announcement regarding any changes to the schedule this week.

Welcome back to school!!
The Grove Stone is available for families to reserve and paint their school spirit. You can reserve the rock for anything! ….to celebrate a child’s/grandchild’s birthday, to recognize special events in your child’s life: recitals, good luck sign, homecomings, recreational events, or special messages just for them!
Cost: $20.00 to reserve the rock. You will need to purchase and bring your own painting supplies to write your message.
Duration: 24hrs 5pm to 5pm Monday-Friday
Example: If you would like Tuesday, Your time starts Monday at 5pm-Tuesday at 5pm etc…
**If reserving for Monday’s date, you have Friday 5pm-Monday 5pm

Spirit Week 2023!


Our "White" Christmas tree is located at Williamston Town Hall and is ready for voting! The tree is decorated with ornaments made by our students at Cedar Grove. Please go by and vote. There is a table with slips of paper available in the lobby as you walk in. Just write "CG White Christmas" on the slip and place in the box. We could win a plaque and be recognized at the January town council meeting. Thank you!


CGES Yearbook Cover Winners
Congratulations to these very talented 5th grade students at Cedar Grove Elementary School. Their artwork was chosen for the 2023-2024 Cedar Grove Elementary School Yearbook. Drew McAlister's artwork will be on the front cover and Easton Allen's artwork will be on the back cover. Katelynn Zoeller, Gunner Roberts, Hunter Pless and Randy Thomas will all have their artwork displayed on an inside page of the yearbook.




Join us for soup night on Thursday, November 9 at 5:30 p.m. as we celebrate and honor our Veterans. Please see the attached list of items that can be donated for our Veterans. We will have donation boxes set up at the entrance. Any donation will be appreciated!

Bullying Prevention Spirit Week is October 23-27. Join in on the fun and dress up each day!


Mark your calendars! Get your Halloween costumes ready! The Annual CGES Fall Festival Fundraising Event will be held on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26th from 5:00 – 7:00. This is one of our biggest and best events of the year and we are asking for your help! Students are asked to bring in bags of pre-wrapped candy to be used for “Trick-or-Treating” and prizes. THIS IS A HOUSE COMPETITION AND THE HOUSE THAT BRINGS IN THE MOST BAGS OF CANDY WILL BE AWARDED 500 HOUSE POINTS! THE HOUSE IN 2ND PLACE WILL RECEIVE 300 POINTS, 3RD PLACE WILL RECEIVE 200 POINTS AND 4TH PLACE WILL RECEIVE 100 POINTS. Thank you for supporting CGES and we hope to see you at the festival!!


The Anderson One Nutrition Service Department is excited to announce the launch of the new My School Menus app! The My School Menus app allows parents and students to access breakfast and lunch menus for all district kitchens. Just simply download the app from the app store, search for Anderson School District One, select your student’s school, and then select the menu you would like to view. You may also view My School Menus online.
By using the app you can view all nutritional information for each menu item or the entire menu for the day. You can also use the Build A Meal feature to select individual items from the menu and the nutritional information for your selection. By using the app you can filter allergens, carbs, protein, calories, and much more.
As a department, we feel that it is very important for parents to have the most up-to-date information at their fingertips when it comes to their child's nutrition. The app is convenient for all parents to track their child’s nutritional needs. With the ever-changing supply delays causing menu changes it is important to us to establish a direct line of communication with families to keep them informed of last-minute changes. On the administrative side of the app, the food service department is able to plan menus to ensure that all state and federal regulations are met.

Attention 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Parents!!
If your child is interested in auditioning for our "Annie" musical this year, there is a MANDATORY meeting next Thursday, October 12, 2:30-3:00.
This is NOT the actual audition. The students will receive important INFORMATION regarding the audition process.
