Last week, Palmetto Elementary wrapped up their fundraising efforts for the school’s future therapy dog with an incredible celebration!
Over the course of the week, students worked hard fundraising in hopes of raising enough money to provide Maverick with the necessary training. On Friday, all students and faculty were invited to attend a celebration and presentation of Maverick in the school gymnasium. During the celebration, Palmetto Business Association presented a $500 donation for Maverick In addition, the grand total of $2,807 from their fundraising efforts was announced!
Thank you so much to those who sent in donations or donated through the go fund me page! Special thanks to Palmetto Business Association and All About Fabrics for their donations and to Ace Hardware Williamston for their commitment to donate!

Mrs. Allen’s class collected donations for PAWS Animal Shelter! 🥰 They will be donating everything this upcoming week.
Here’s some pictures of her students with the donations and a letter a student helped make by using the switch-activated scissors to cut out symbols. 🐶 🐱

Palmetto Elementary supports March for Babies and we can’t wait to show our support next week as we focus on the mission through fundraising and giving back! Be on the lookout for more information regarding next week! Your child will have a chance to participate in daily activities as they learn about March of Dimes and how they can make a difference in their community!
Take a minute to read Lawson Clardy’s story below. Lawson was born at 23 weeks gestation and is now one of our very own 4K students and Mrs. Clardy’s son!
His story is proof of how March of Dimes is helping ensure babies like him have a fighting chance!

Our 4th grade Mustang Leaders in Mrs. Cartee's class got the opportunity to lead tours around Palmetto for senior education majors at Anderson University. They showcased our school by telling them what it is like to be a student at PES, showing them classrooms where students are learning from engaging teachers, having them meet some teachers around the school to ask about how AMAZING it is to get to work at PES, and lastly they got to show off their leadership portfolios! These leaders did an AMAZING job and they were so proud to show off their school!
