Let's celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!
The Anderson One Nutrition Service Department is excited to announce the launch of the new My School Menus app! The My School Menus app allows parents and students to access breakfast and lunch menus for all district kitchens. Just simply download the app from the app store, search for Anderson School District One, select your student’s school, and then select the menu you would like to view. You may also view My School Menus online.
By using the app you can view all nutritional information for each menu item or the entire menu for the day. You can also use the Build A Meal feature to select individual items from the menu and the nutritional information for your selection. By using the app you can filter allergens, carbs, protein, calories, and much more.
As a department, we feel that it is very important for parents to have the most up-to-date information at their fingertips when it comes to their child's nutrition. The app is convenient for all parents to track their child’s nutritional needs. With the ever-changing supply delays causing menu changes it is important to us to establish a direct line of communication with families to keep them informed of last-minute changes. On the administrative side of the app, the food service department is able to plan menus to ensure that all state and federal regulations are met.

Today is Custodian Appreciation Day!! We love our custodial staff here at PMES and are so blessed by all they do to keep our school safe and clean for everyone! They go above and beyond for the students and staff!
HUGE thank you to our custodians! We hope you know how much you are loved and appreciated!
We are SO excited to bring back the fall festival! We will have games, candy, inflatables, food trucks, and a cake walk! We hope to see you there.

Palmetto Singers is the name of our 4th and 5th after school chorus led by our music teacher Mrs. Dodgens. The group has 40 members this year and they have started to prepare for their Winter Concert. Their first concert of the year will take place on Tuesday, December 5th @ 6 PM at Palmetto High School.
Our school has started a new leadership program called Leader in Me. The students are learning valuable lessons each day that will help them become proactive learners, thinkers, and of course, leaders. This program also creates a positive school culture. PTO would love to purchase every student a t-shirt to show their PES pride. The shirts cost approximately $7 each, and we have 550+ students. With your help we can make this happen. Not only will you be able to access the ASD1 website easily through the app, but you will be able to view all school websites in the district, too! View the home page, district updates, see what's for lunch, and find documents with ease. You can also set Palmetto Elementary School as your default organization and easily stay connected with everything happening at PES when you open the app and navigate the live feed, news, and events tabs!

Picture Day is coming up!!! Don't forget!
Meet the Mustangs on August 4th from 6:00-8:30pm at the PHS Football field! This will be a wonderful opportunity for everyone to meet all coaches and players! There will be booths set up with games and prizes as mentioned on the flyer! Additionally, booster club will be selling food, drinks, and apparel along with old jerseys and apparel!
