The Cory White Diversity Award was established by the Anderson County Human Relations Council in memory of the student designer of its logo, Cory White. Cory was known for his ability and efforts to reach out to those who were alone, shy, or ignored. This annual award spotlights a student nominated by teachers and other school officials from each of Anderson County’s middle and high schools, who has positively affected peers, teachers, and/or school staff in the areas of human rights, special needs and disabilities, and/or cultural inclusion and acceptance, qualities exemplified by Cory White. Congratulations to PVHS Senior, Ziana Billings, who was recognized tonight as an award recipient. Ziana, you are love and light in our school - so well-deserved. ❤️

Less than a month away!! If you have family or friends who can't make it, ASD1 will be livestreaming all of the high school graduations (PVHS/Palmetto/Wren). Click this link to watch live on May 15!

The road to graduation continues with one of our favorite traditions - Senior letters. 💌 Teachers and staff from Concrete, PVES, PVMS, and PVHS “adopt” a Senior (or two or three…) by writing them a letter congratulating them on their accomplishments and sharing memories and/or words of wisdom. We truly love these kids and are so proud to see them on the cusp of saying “goodbye” to high school and “hello” to adulthood. 🎓🥰 If you’re a Senior who didn’t get your letter today, see Mrs. Chesney in the library on Monday.

Things got creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky at Fox Carolina earlier today when a few of our Powdersville Players appeared at the studio to promote our Spring production of "The Addams Family." Be sure to check out the clip from today's studio visit here:

And we hope to see you in person this weekend at one of the performances!

Coming this weekend! You can buy tickets in advance or at the door.

Save the date if interested in joining!

Congratulations to our Band who for the first time in the school's history earned a Superior with Distinction at today's CPA - so proud of you all!!

Congratulations to our 2025-2026 PVHS Support Staff of the Year, Faith Hudgins!! And when we say “support,” we mean SUPPORT as she serves two jobs in our building as both Cafeteria Manager and afternoon Custodial Staff. She does it all for our staff, students, and - especially - those smiling faces you see in the second picture…her family. What a blessing you are to us all, Mrs. Hudgins!! ❤️💙

Very excited to announce our 2025-2026 PVHS Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Jamie Sanders!! This is Mrs. Sanders 12th year teaching English at PVHS, where she also sponsors the Acts of Random Kindness (ARK) Club, serves on the Guiding Coalition, acts as a Supervising Lead teacher for Resident Teachers, and leads PD workshops in our school and district. Her love for education and heart for her students and coworkers is evident in everything she does. Congrats, Mrs. Sanders!! 🍎❤️

The Patriot Prime has finished the North Charleston regional robotics competition 23/35 and won the Team Spirit Award! As described by FIRST, the Team Spirit Award celebrates extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit through exceptional partnership and teamwork furthering the objectives of FIRST. The team was also selected to be a part of the 8th alliance, and had a great time playing as it won one match.
In two weeks, the team will compete at the District Championship, in Anderson, SC. Way to go, team!!

Prom tickets are on sale NOW in the library - single $40/couple $75 (for the month of March). If you're bringing a guest from another school, then be sure to complete the Non-PVHS Guest Form. Forms are available for pick-up in the library or here on the Prom page (Menu-Students-Prom).
