From ASD1….
Out of an abundance of caution, we will once again have an eLearning Day in Anderson One on Wednesday, January 28. After consulting with Emergency Management officials and the DOT, we feel this is in the best interest of our students and staff. Many of the secondary roads in our community are still extremely dangerous. We will continue to monitor road conditions so that hopefully, we can safely return to school in a timely manner.
I hope you all continue to stay safe and warm. We will continue to monitor road conditions and if there are any other changes to the schedule for this week, we will communicate those as soon as possible.

If you're interested in Volleyball, you won't want to miss this Spring event! Save the date.

The Ville, Powdersville High School's literary magazine, has been recognized as a SUPERIOR magazine by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). This year, schools in 44 states, Washington, D.C., and six countries nominated 456 student magazines. Magazines from middle school, high school, and higher education were welcomed for the 2025 contest, and PVHS sent in their 2025 edition, Dreamscape. We're proud of all the student contributors along with teacher advisors, Reilly Shillinglaw and Lexie Hendricks. Excited to see this year's upcoming edition with the theme "Skin of Stone."

Anderson One Families,
Out of an abundance of caution, Anderson School District One will have an eLearning Day on Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27 due to the winter storm anticipated to impact our area this weekend.
All extracurricular activities and athletic events are canceled Saturday, January 24 through Tuesday, January 27.
After consulting with Anderson County Emergency Management over the last few days, this decision was made to ensure the safety of our students and staff. The National Weather Service is forecasting the potential for ice, snow, and extremely cold temperatures that could cause hazardous road conditions and possible power outages in our area.
The district will continue to work closely with local officials as we make further decisions regarding school operations next week. All decisions will be made based on the latest forecast, road conditions, and other factors that may impact our ability to safely open schools.
We will share all updates through our communications system, website, and social media channels. Please visit this link for eLearning information and guidelines.
