Thanks so much to all who came out last night for our red carpet event celebrating the release of this year’s literary magazine, The Ville, with its theme, “The Unknown.” Mrs. Foster, the Creative Writing and Ville teacher sponsor, along with her stellar staff and student contributors have created a beautiful issue highlighting student writing, art, and photography. Students published in this year’s edition were invited to read aloud their selection in front of staff, family, and friends. So proud of all these students! If you’re interested in purchasing your own copy, see Mrs. Foster (cost $25).

Congratulations to our 2024 Prom King and Queen - Gabe Seymore and Jean Marie Wilson!

What a week for Spring sports at PVHS - three new Region Champions!! Congrats to the Boys Soccer team, Girls Soccer team, the Baseball team, and their coaching staffs for earning these titles!!

It’s been a banner year for Induction/First Year teachers at PVHS! Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, caring - we couldn’t have been blessed with a better group of individuals (with a terrific group of teacher mentors to guide them). Congratulations Mr. Carter (mentor, Dr. Rosenberg), Ms. Tenry (mentor, Mrs. Sanders), Ms. Lundgren (mentor, Mrs. Foster), and Ms. Land (mentor, Ms. Scales) for your successful first year as part of our Patriot family.

Powdersville High School is excited to announce that our Swim Team will be led by Head Coach Meagan Blough and Assistant Coach Jeremy Wilder next season! We're excited to have alumni Meagan Blough back in a coaching capacity, and Coach Wilder continuing with his assistance as our swim program continues to grow. Welcome!
Quote from Head Coach - Coach Blough:
"I am Meagan Blough, a Powdersville High School graduate. I went to Limestone University on a cheer scholarship, graduating with a bachelor's degree in History/Pre Law. I have been coaching the YMCA swim team for a little more than four years. I am a substitute teacher, personal trainer, private swim lesson instructor, and a farm helper. In my free time, I am always outside hiking, at the gym, or spending time with family. I am looking forward to being back at Powdersville to coach this amazing team! I cannot wait to see the growth over this season and how far they will go!
Assistant Coach - Jeremy Wilder:
- Jeremy Wilder has been actively involved with the swim community for over ten years. He has assisted Powdersville High School's Swim Team and club swimming in both Virginia and South Carolina USA swimming teams. He has supported swimming from an administrative, growth, and logistics aspect. He enjoys being poolside and watching the student-athletes excel in confidence and sportsmanship.

At tonite’s Baseball game vs Seneca, the spotlight will be on our Seniors. Come out and support this great group of players!

Wrapping up a stellar season in the best way possible - way to go, TI team!!

Congratulations to our Patriot Prime team who ended their 2024 Season this weekend at the FIRST Peachtree Championship in Macon, GA, ranked 31st out of 98 teams in their district!! They also won their 3rd consecutive Rookie Inspiration Award! Could not be more proud of this Robotics team and sponsor, April Scott. Y’all accomplished so much in your 1st season - can’t wait to see what happens next year!

Exciting news!! Our STUCO, Sponsor Breanna McAbee, PVHS student body, staff, parents, and community raised $20,026.67 for Shriners Children’s Hospital!! Our Patriot family did this in one week!! Could not be more proud or thankful to be part of such a loving, generous community. Thanks to all who gave!!

Congratulations to both our Varsity Mixed Choir and Varsity Treble Choir who each received Superior with Distinction at today’s CPA!! Our Fine Arts departments are killing it this year.

Congratulations to Seth Smith, this Spring's recipient of the Powdersville Player Award! The cast voted him as the most supportive and encouraging cast member throughout the entire "Matilda" production process. Way to go, Seth!

Our Patriot Prime Robotics Team ended 12th and became the 8th team alliance captain at this week’s North Charleston Competition! It’s very rare for a Rookie team to be a Captain. While the team unfortunately lost both of their playoff matches, they did win the Rookie Inspiration Award again and are currently ranked 24 out of 98 in the district! Proud of the Prime!!

Last chance to see @powdersville_players magnificent performance of “Matilda” is TODAY at 3:00! I’ve seen “Matilda” on Broadway, saw our production last night, and can confirm PVHS “Matilda” > Broadway “Matilda.” Truly, your mind will be blown by the performances, songs, and set design - don’t miss it!!

PVHS Spirit Week 2024 kicks off tomorrow! Here are the activities we have planned for Day #1 - all proceeds go to benefit Shriners Hospital for Children.
