One of the many ways our Athletic Booster Club supports the athletic program and athletes at our school is to award two $2,500 scholarships to graduating Seniors - one female athlete and one male athlete. This year’s recipients of the Freedom Boost Scholarships are Sydney Menke and Seth Merritt - congrats to you both!
Each teacher was asked to nominate and vote on the male and female students they thought best represented the Class of 2023. This year, Ashley Huffstickler has been voted our 2023 Miss Patriot and David Middleton is our 2023 Mr. Patriot!
Congratulations to Avi Patel, the Class of 2023 Valedictorian, and Ben Freeman, the Class of 2023 Salutatorian. These two fine fellows have the top two GPAs in their class - proud of you, guys!

This year, Ms. Scales’ Blue 1 class has been writing letters back and forth with a class at a school in Georgia (Ms. Scales’ mom happens to be their teacher!). Yesterday, they all got to meet when their Georgia pen pals came for a visit! As you can see, they had a fun time hanging in person and touring the school.
Thanks to all of the Powdersville area teachers and administrators who took part in our annual tradition of writing letters to our graduating Seniors. As you can tell from their smiles, your words of encouragement, memories, and kind messages meant a lot. Your contributions are making a difference in the lives of families served by the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation. The thing about giving is when you give, you get so much back in return.
