What a special day yesterday! We were thrilled to host our First Annual Retirees Luncheon Reunion on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Powdersville Middle School.
It was truly heartwarming to welcome back so many familiar faces who dedicated their careers to shaping the lives of our Patriots. The energy, the laughter, and the stories shared were a beautiful reminder of the incredible foundation they built here at PVMS.

We are excited to share an upcoming event for ASD1 students and their parents. We have a guest speaker, Dr. Christian Barrientos, who will be presenting two sessions on college access and financial preparedness after high school on Tuesday, September 30th at the PVHS Auditorium.
Event Details
- English Session: 6:00 – 7:00 PM
- Spanish Session: 7:30 – 8:30 PM
This event is open to ALL students in the district, preferably 8th grade through 12th. Students are encouraged to register in advance for the session they plan to attend. The registration form also allows them to share which topics they would like Dr. Barrientos to address during the presentation.

Clarification on an announcement made for boys basketball open gym…this is for 7th and 8th grade boys only.
Open gym for 7th and 8th grade boys basketball will begin in September on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 pm. Open gym is not mandatory and if you are currently playing a fall sport you are not expected to attend. Please make sure your ride is there promptly at 6:30 to pick you up. The location for open gym will be at the Powdersville Middle School gym and parents are expected to pick you up in the car circle outside the gym. Parents should not enter the building.
