The Beta Club is excited to announce that we are collecting items for families who have a baby in the NICU at Prisma Health. NICU stands for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We are collecting items to help comfort parents of premature babies and your donation will make a big difference, please check out the posters in the hallway for items to donate like hand sanitizer, journals, word find books, coloring books, and bubbles. The drive will run through February 10th. Collection boxes will be placed on each hallway. The grade level with the most donations will win extra recess. Thank you for caring for even the tiniest patients.
The Anderson Association of Educational Office Professionals is hosting a Purge for Paws Drive. Do you have gently used pet supplies? Turn your purge into a purpose. All you have to do is go through your gently used pet items and then drop them by the front office from now until February 12.

What a special day yesterday! We were thrilled to host our First Annual Retirees Luncheon Reunion on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Powdersville Middle School.
It was truly heartwarming to welcome back so many familiar faces who dedicated their careers to shaping the lives of our Patriots. The energy, the laughter, and the stories shared were a beautiful reminder of the incredible foundation they built here at PVMS.

We are excited to share an upcoming event for ASD1 students and their parents. We have a guest speaker, Dr. Christian Barrientos, who will be presenting two sessions on college access and financial preparedness after high school on Tuesday, September 30th at the PVHS Auditorium.
Event Details
- English Session: 6:00 – 7:00 PM
- Spanish Session: 7:30 – 8:30 PM
This event is open to ALL students in the district, preferably 8th grade through 12th. Students are encouraged to register in advance for the session they plan to attend. The registration form also allows them to share which topics they would like Dr. Barrientos to address during the presentation.
