Next stop...the World Championship! Congratulations to the American Krabz for winning the Design Award at the VEX IQ Robotics Competition SC State Championship. They have qualified for and will be competing at the VEX IQ Robotics Competition World Championship in Dallas, TX next month! Good luck to these guys as they compete against 450 teams from over 30 countries around the world.
Mrs. Rice-Kafafy and Mrs. Dyar held their first annual ARTS FESTIVAL on Friday. This experience allowed our 7th grade PIP PALS to create, plan, and host an art station with the students in their class. The hallways were filled with Disney Classics, laughter, conversations, and a ton of “This is the best day ever!”
This first experience was nothing short of amazing and everyone is already looking forward to next year’s experience!

On Wednesday, February 7th, The Rize Organization came to PVMS to present a drug prevention program to our 6th graders. Students learned and discussed the dangers and effects of using drugs, vapes, and other negative substances they may encounter. School pictures taken at POWDERSVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL on 10/11/2023 are now available for parents to view and order online. Please help spread the word by copying and pasting this info onto your school’s website, social media, emails from teachers or administrators to parents, your school’s newsletter, etc.
Mr. Binnicker emailed final Quarter 1 report cards to all parents/guardians last week. If you did not receive a report card for your student: 1- check your spam folder, 2- verify that the email address we have on file is correct. You can do this by checking Parent Portal or calling the front office.
The Anderson One Nutrition Service Department is excited to announce the launch of the new My School Menus app! The My School Menus app allows parents and students to access breakfast and lunch menus for all district kitchens. Just simply download the app from the app store, search for Anderson School District One, select your student’s school, and then select the menu you would like to view. You may also view My School Menus online.
By using the app you can view all nutritional information for each menu item or the entire menu for the day. You can also use the Build A Meal feature to select individual items from the menu and the nutritional information for your selection. By using the app you can filter allergens, carbs, protein, calories, and much more.
As a department, we feel that it is very important for parents to have the most up-to-date information at their fingertips when it comes to their child's nutrition. The app is convenient for all parents to track their child’s nutritional needs. With the ever-changing supply delays causing menu changes it is important to us to establish a direct line of communication with families to keep them informed of last-minute changes. On the administrative side of the app, the food service department is able to plan menus to ensure that all state and federal regulations are met.

Busy week for Mrs. Rice & Ms. Dyar's classes last week! Our students do important work by facilitating our school recycling program each Friday. They also had a guest reader join them to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
New Date!! Make up pictures for the yearbook have been rescheduled for October 11th.
We are excited to have everyone out for our first home football game of the season this Thursday. Please note a few important details: 1) students MUST be accompanied by an adult 2) admission is $5.00 and cash only. See you all Thursday!
