🧚‍♀️✨ THE KINDNESS FAIRIES! ✨🧚‍♀️ Our amazing guidance counselors Mrs. Merritt and Mrs. Hosea spread a little teacher appreciation magic around PVMS today! 💙 Dressed as our very own Kindness Fairies, they surprised teachers by popping into classrooms with special treats, encouraging words, positivity, and plenty of smiles! 🍬💫 Because sometimes the people who spend their days pouring into our students need a little extra love and encouragement, too. ❤️ Thank you to our counselors for reminding our teachers just how much they are valued, appreciated, and loved! 🧚‍♀️✨ A little kindness can make a BIG difference! 💙 #PVMS #KindnessFairies #TeacherAppreciation #SpreadKindness #GrowingLearnersBuildingLeaders #PatriotPride

🏈 THURSDAY FOOTBALL SPIRIT STARTS AT THE FRONT DOOR! 🏈 Our football greeters were ready to bring the Patriot spirit this morning as they welcomed students arriving in the car line and bus line! 🎉🙌 From a friendly “Good morning!” to a little extra football energy, they made sure our students knew they were seen, welcomed, and ready for a great day! 💙❤️ That’s how we start a game day at Powdersville Middle School! 🏈🔥 #PatriotPride #GameDay #PowdersvilleMiddleSchool #GrowingLearnersBuildingLeaders #ThursdayFootball

🚌⚠️ Wednesday Bus Duty: Message RECEIVED! ⚠️🚌 Mrs. Whiteside and Miss Fontaine take bus duty VERY seriously! 😂 And when you want to make sure your students understand the message… sometimes you have to get creative! Miss Fontaine decided to take “WARNING” to a whole new level and dressed like a human warning cone! 🟧😂 Because at Powdersville Middle School, we believe in keeping our students safe—and making sure they get the message loud and clear! ❤️💙 Safety first… and apparently, fashion second! 😆🚌 #WednesdayBusDuty #SafetyFirst #Warning #SchoolSpirit #PowdersvilleMiddle #GrowingLearnersBuildingLeaders

🔬🧩 Science GRIT with Mrs. Best! 🧠✨ Mrs. Best’s science students were putting their brains to work during GRIT last week! 💪 🧩 Puzzle Variable GRIT: Students tackled puzzles that challenged their problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and persistence. 📚 Old-School Vocabulary GRIT: No apps. No screens. No technology! Students grabbed good ol’ index cards and created their own science vocabulary flashcards. ✏️📇 Sometimes the old-school way is still a great way to learn! We love seeing our Patriots Growing Learners. Building Leaders.—one challenge at a time! ❤️💙 #PatriotPride #GRIT #ScienceGRIT #GrowingLearnersBuildingLeaders #PowdersvilleMiddleSchool #HandsOnLearning

🧮✨ Math + GRIT = Learning in Action! Last week, Mrs. Merritt’s 7th grade math students put their skills to the test during GRIT Time using VersaTiles! 🔢💪 Students practiced operations with integers, fractions, and real numbers while working through challenging problems, checking their reasoning, and learning from their mistakes. It’s more than just math—it’s about developing the GRIT to persevere when the answer doesn’t come easily! 💙📚 Way to work hard, think critically, and keep pushing, Patriots! 🇺🇸 #PowdersvilleMiddleSchool #GrowingLearnersBuildingLeaders #GRIT #MathInAction #7thGradeMath #VersaTiles #PatriotPride

🎶 What a way to start the morning! 🎶

Our 8th Grade Chorus brought the smiles, and the school spirit to the carline this morning! 💙🤍 Their warm welcome helped our Patriots kick off the day on a high note! 🎤✨

Thank you, Chorus, for spreading some Patriot pride and reminding us that there’s always a reason to sing! 🎶

📚🚘 WELCOME TO THE ’60s, PATRIOTS! 🚘📚 Our 8th graders are diving into The Outsiders — a story set in the 1960s — so it was decided to bring a little bit of the ’60s to Powdersville Middle School! Thanks to some amazing members of our faculty’s families, our students got an up-close look at some seriously cool classic cars that helped bring the time period to life! 😎 🚘 1966 Yellow Mustang 🚘 1957 Chevy Bel Air 🚘 1948 Ford Coupe From the cars and clothes to the music and culture, experiencing the time period helps our students better understand the world Ponyboy, Sodapop, Darry, Johnny, and the rest of the gang lived in. Because sometimes the best way to understand a story… is to step back in time! ⏰📖 A HUGE thank-you to the families who shared their incredible cars and helped make learning come alive for our Patriots! ❤️ Now… let’s get ready to enter the world of The Outsiders! #TheOutsiders #PowdersvilleMiddleSchool #GrowingLearnersBuildingLeaders #LearningComesAlive #StepBackInTime #60s #PatriotPride

🫘🍬 BeanBoozled in Mrs. Simmons Math in GRIT! ➗🎯 Unit 1 Test Review got a little more interesting in GRIT today! 😆 Students worked through math problems, agreed on a group answer, and then faced the ultimate question: Are you feeling lucky? 👀 If the group answered correctly, they got to send one brave teammate up to eat a mystery jelly bean! The bean could be delicious… or it could be very bad! 🤢😂 🏆 The stakes were high: 🍬 Eat the whole jelly bean = 5,000 points! 😬 Chew it but have to spit it out = 1,000 points! Nothing like a little BeanBoozled bravery to make test review memorable! 😂🫘📚 #PVMSPatriots #GRIT #MathReview #BeanBoozled #LearningCanBeFun

🧩🔐 GRIT Time = Math + Teamwork + FUN! 🔐🧩 Dr. Weaver's 8th grade math students had a blast yesterday during GRIT time as they worked their way through a Desmos Escape Room! 🥰➗ They put their problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and teamwork to the test as they raced to solve challenges, crack codes, and escape! 🎯🧠 Who says math can’t be an adventure?! 😍 #PVMSPatriots #GRITTime #MathGame #Desmos #MathIsFun #ProblemSolvers #Teamwork

🎯 Learning Cause & Effect… One Block at a Time! 🧱 Our 8th grade students in Mrs. Machamer’s class took learning to a whole new level as they explored cause and effect through a game of Jenga! As students carefully pulled and placed blocks, they had to think ahead, make predictions, and see how one action could lead to another outcome. Sometimes their choices kept the tower standing… and sometimes, well, we all know what happened next! 😂 Who knew learning about cause & effect could be this much fun? 💙❤️ #PVMSPatriots #LeaderInMe #LearningIsFun #CauseAndEffect

🥤 Life Skills…with a Sweet Side! 🍨 Mrs. Rice-Kafafy’s class put their life skills to work with a hands-on lesson in kitchen safety, rules, and etiquette! 👩‍🍳 Students learned the importance of using the kitchen safely, keeping their workspace clean, and practicing good kitchen habits. And, of course, what better way to put those skills into practice than with Root Beer or Coke Floats?! 😋 Learning important skills + making sweet memories = a pretty great day in the classroom! ❤️💙 #PVMSPatriots #LifeSkills #KitchenSafety #HandsOnLearning #LearningByDoing
